ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING COVID-19

WESTERVILLE, OH - MARCH 14, 2020 - Due to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's order on March 12, 2020 prohibiting mass gatherings of 100 or more people, we have been forced to cancel the 2020 NPC Mike Francois Classic scheduled for May 9th in Westerville, OH. The National Physique Committee has since canceled all NPC-sanctioned shows through May 10th. If you are a registered competitor, ticket holder or sponsor, an email was sent to you with additional information. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this unprecedented situation together.

NATIONAL QUALIFIER 

The NPC Mike Francois Classic is an NPC National Qualifier. The top 2 placings in each Open class will qualify for national-level events through the entire following year (2021).

ELIGIBILITY 
The NPC Mike Francois Classic is open to all competitors who are current members of the NPC. Your NPC card must be presented during check-in on Friday, May 8th. NPC cards are $135 and can be purchased online at www.npcnewsonline.com. Cards will also be available for purchase at the check-in. To be eligible for Novice, you may not have won the Open class in any prior NPC contest. To be eligible for True Novice, you may not have ever competed in an NPC contest.

RULES & REGULATIONS 

All rules and regulations are established by our sanctioning body, the National Physique Committee (NPC). Visit their web site at www.npcnewsonline.com and click on "Rules" for detailed information on rounds, scoring, presentation and suit requirements for each division. Note: Effective January 1, 2019, the NPC has implemented new suit requirements for Classic Physique. Trunks must be black and no less than 4-1/2 Inches on the sides/hips. ENTRY FEE 
$100.00 if entered online or postmarked by April 25, 2020. $25.00 late fee after that date. Add $50 for each additional division entering. Crossovers are permitted between all divisions (for example, a competitor may enter both the Figure and Bikini divisions). ENTER ONLINE or print an ENTRY FORM to enter by mail. You may also enter at the Friday check-in. Entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

FRIDAY CHECK-IN 
All competitors must check-in on Friday, May 8th between 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Westerville Central High School. Per NPC regulations, no Saturday check-ins will be allowed. Please note the following:

• Posing Suit: Bodybuilding, Classic Physique and Bikini competitors must wear their suit to the check-in. All other competitors need to bring their suit for inspection.

• Music: If you are competing in Bodybuilding, Women's Physique or Classic Physique, you must bring your music to the check-in. For those crossing over between Men's Bodybuilding and Classic Physique, please bring music for each division (see Music section below for additional details).

 

MANDATORY MEETING 
The mandatory meeting for all competitors will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, May 9th at Westerville Central High School. Please plan on arriving by 8:30 a.m. Prejudging will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m.

MUSIC

All Bodybuilding, Women's Physique and Classic Physique competitors must provide their music no later than 8:00 pm, Friday, May 8th. You have 2 options: 1) You can bring a USB Flash Drive (preferred) or a CD to the check-in; or 2) You can submit your music online using our MUSIC UPLOAD FORM (via Google Docs). If you are crossing over between Men's Bodybuilding and Classic Physique, you must provide music for each division. Please note the following: Music may not exceed 60 seconds, submit only your competition music (no additional songs), vulgar lyrics are prohibited and will result in disqualification. The USB Flash Drive will be returned to you at the check-in. CDs will be available for pick-up immediately after the contest (they will not be returned by mail).

POSING ROUTINES 

All Bodybuilding, Women's Physique and Classic Physique competitors will perform their routine(s) at the Finals. If you are a Bodybuilder crossing over into another Bodybuilding division, you will pose once. If you are a Bodybuilder crossing over into Classic Physique, you will pose in both. No routines will be performed at the Prejudging. Flips of any kind are not permitted.

 

TRAINER'S PASS 
The NPC allows competitors the opportunity to have their trainer(s) backstage to assist them. The Trainer's Passes are $75 and are limited to two (2) per competitor. Note: The Trainer's Pass only allows the trainer backstage to assist the competitor. If the trainer wants access to the auditorium to view the show, they must purchase a ticket. Limited number of passes available. You can purchase a Trainer's Pass ONLINE, by MAIL or backstage Saturday, May 9th. If purchasing May 9th, please bring exact change.

 

PUMP UP AREA 
Per NPC regulations, weights and dumbbells are no longer allowed backstage in the pump-up area. Only exercise bands will be permitted. We will provide a limited number of bands, however we recommend you bring your own to ensure availability.

 

AWARDS 
1st through 5th places in each class will receive an award from Niels Andersen Sculptures. Every competitor will receive a goody bag!

 

TICKETS 
Prejudging tickets (general admission) are $15. Finals tickets (reserved seating) are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Children two and under admitted free. ORDER ONLINE or print our TICKET ORDER FORM to order by mail. Tickets will also be sold at the door and at Metro Fitness in Worthington for a limited time. All checks and money orders should be made payable to Mike Francois. Due to processing time, ticket orders postmarked or submitted online after April 25, 2020 will not be mailed and must be picked up at Will Call (ticket booth) at the venue the day of. We will begin processing and mailing tickets in February. Due to prior sell-outs, please order early to guarantee admission!
