Competitor Check-In: June 10th, 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Competitor Meeting: June 11th, 8:45 a.m.

Prejudging: June 11th, 10:00 a.m.
Finals: June 11th, 6:00 p.m.

DEADLINES 

Registration: Online registration closes at 10:00 p.m. June 8th. You may register at the Friday check-in.

Late Fee: Register by May 28th to avoid the $25 late fee.

Tickets: Online ticket ordering closes at noon on June 9th. After that time, tickets can be purchased at the door only.

NPC NATIONAL QUALIFIER 

The NPC Mike Francois Classic is an NPC National Qualifier. 

​

2022 NPC RULE CHANGES 

The following are rule changes implemented by the NPC for 2022:

Age Restriction: All competitors must be age 18 on or before the date of the event.

Crossover Fee: The crossover fee must be a minimum of $100 for all NPC national-qualifying events.

ELIGIBILITY 
The NPC Mike Francois Classic is open to all competitors who are current members of the NPC, and have reached their 18th birthday on or before the date of the event. Your NPC USA membership card must be presented during check-in on Friday, June 10th. NPC cards will be available for purchase at the check-in or can be purchased in advance at www.npcnewsonline.com. NPC membership cards are $135 and expire at the end of the calendar year. Note: For NPC cards purchased at the check-in, accepted payment methods are cash or check.

RULES & REGULATIONS 

All rules and regulations are established by our sanctioning body, the National Physique Committee (NPC). Visit their web site at www.npcnewsonline.com and click on RULES for detailed information on rounds, scoring, presentation and suit requirements for each division.

DIVISIONS 

Bodybuilding 

Men's Masters Bodybuilding (1 class)

• 35 years of age and older

Men's Novice Bodybuilding (1 class)

• Have never placed first in any Bodybuilding class in a prior NPC contest.

Men's Open Bodybuilding (7 classes)

• Bantamweight: 143¼ lbs and under

• Lightweight: Over 143¼ lbs up to and including 154¼ lbs

• Welterweight: Over 154¼ lbs up to and including 165¼ lbs

• Middleweight: Over 165¼ lbs up to and including 176¼ lbs

• Light Heavyweight: Over 176¼ lbs up to and including 198¼ lbs

• Heavyweight: Over 198¼ lbs up to and including 225¼ lbs

• Super Heavyweight: Over 225¼ lbs

Bikini 

True Novice Bikini (1 class) 

• Have never competed in any Bikini division in a prior NPC contest.

Masters Bikini (1 class)

• 35 years of age and older

Novice Bikini (2 classes)

• Have never placed first in any Bikini class in a prior NPC contest.

• Class A: Up to and including 5'4"

• Class B: Over 5’4”

Open Bikini (4 classes)

• Class A: Up to and including 5’2”

• Class B: Over 5’2” and up to and including 5’4”

• Class C: Over 5’4” and up to and including 5’6”

Classic Physique

ENTRY FEE 
$110.00 if entered online or postmarked by May 28, 2022. $25.00 late fee after that date. Add $100 for each additional division entering. Crossovers are permitted between all divisions. For example, a competitor may enter both the Figure and Bikini divisions. ENTER ONLINE (online registration closes at 10:00 p.m. June 8th) or print an ENTRY FORM to enter by mail. You may also enter at the Friday check-in or change/add divisions if you pre-registered. Payment methods accepted for registration fees are cash, check and all major credit cards. Entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Beginning in 2021, the NPC is requiring all online registrations to be processed through a company called Muscleware. You will be redirected to their site from our online registration links. 

 

FRIDAY CHECK-IN 
All competitors must check-in on Friday, June 10th between 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Marriott Columbus Northwest. The check-in will be held in the Dublin V & VI Rooms. Per NPC regulations, no Saturday check-ins will be allowed. Please note the following:

• Posing Suit: Bodybuilding, Classic Physique and Bikini competitors must wear their suit to the check-in. All other competitors need to bring their suit for inspection.

• Music: If you are competing in Bodybuilding, Women's Physique or Classic Physique, you must bring your music to the check-in (unless you uploaded it during online registration). For those crossing over between Men's Bodybuilding and Classic Physique, please bring music for each division (see Music section below for additional details).

 

MANDATORY MEETING 
The mandatory meeting for all competitors will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, June 11th at the Marriott Columbus Northwest in the main ballroom (Dublin III & Dublin IV Rooms). Please plan on arriving by 8:30 a.m. Prejudging will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m.

MUSIC 

All Bodybuilding, Women's Physique and Classic Physique competitors must provide their music no later than 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 10th. You have 2 options: 1) If you pre-register online or by mail, you can upload your music through MuscleWare (you will be emailed a link); or 2) You can bring a USB Flash Drive (preferred) or a CD to the check-in. If you are crossing over between Men's Bodybuilding and Classic Physique, you must provide music for each division. Music may not exceed 60 seconds, no other music can be on the USB/CD, and vulgar lyrics are prohibited and will result in disqualification. The USB Flash Drive will be returned to you at the check-in. CDs will be available for pick-up immediately after the contest (they will not be returned by mail).

POSING ROUTINES 

All Bodybuilding, Women's Physique and Classic Physique competitors will perform their routine at the Finals. If you are a Bodybuilder crossing over into another Bodybuilding division, you will pose once. If you are a Bodybuilder crossing over into Classic Physique, you will pose in both. No routines will be performed at the Prejudging. Flips of any kind are not permitted.

TRAINER'S PASS 
The NPC allows competitors the opportunity to have their trainer backstage to assist them. The Trainer's Passes are $75 and are limited to one (1) per competitor. The Trainer's Pass only allows the trainer backstage to assist the competitor. If the trainer wants access to the ballroom to view the show, they must purchase a ticket. The Trainer’s Pass will not be mailed. The trainer will accompany the competitor backstage on Saturday and go to the check-in table to obtain the pass. Due to limited space, the total number of Trainer's Passes available is extremely limited. You can purchase a Trainer's Pass ONLINE (online ordering closes at noon on June 9th), by MAIL or backstage Saturday. Trainer's Passes can be purchased in the Dublin I / Dublin II Room from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Pre-orders will be available for pick-up at this time as well. If purchasing June 11th, please bring exact change or pay by check. Per NPC regulations, any trainer backstage must be a current member of the NPC. All sales final.

PUMP UP AREA 
Per NPC regulations, weights and dumbbells are no longer allowed in the venue. Only exercise bands will be permitted. We will provide a limited number of bands. To ensure availability, we highly recommend you bring your own.

 

AWARDS 
1st through 5th places in each class will receive an award from Niels Andersen Sculptures. Every competitor will receive a goody bag!

 

TICKETS 
Prejudging tickets are $15 (General Admission). Finals tickets are $25 (General Admission). Children two and under admitted free. Seating is limited so be sure to order early to guarantee admission! ORDER ONLINE (online ordering closes at noon on June 9th) or print our TICKET ORDER FORM to order by mail. Tickets will also be sold at the door pending availability. Payment methods accepted at the door are cash, check and all major credit cards. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Mike Francois. Due to processing time, ticket orders postmarked or submitted online after May 28, 2022 will not be mailed and must be picked up at Will Call (ticket booth) at the venue the day of.

Per NPC regulations, cameras are not allowed in the first 10 rows. There is no restriction on cell phone cameras. Pictures will be available for purchase from the official contest photographer.
